After being unable to find a body care product that truly smelled like pikake to her, Napua'ala founder Lora Silva decided if she couldn't find what she was looking for, she'd make it!
When a local pikake lei maker sampled Lora's soap and body spray, she knew that it was the pikake scent without even looking at the label. Lora knew then she had achieved what she set out to create, and thus, Napua'ala was born.
Napua'ala means "scent of a flower" in Hawaiian culture. There are beautiful scents all around, and each of the fragrances used at Napua'ala evokes unforgettable memories for Lora. Plumeria reminds her of the hula lessons she took when she was six years old. While pikake always reminds her of her high school prom. No matter the flower scent, there is always a memory associated with it for the company's founder.
The products that make up the Napua'ala brand are all hand-made in small batches with eco-friendly and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Napua'ala is Lora's homage to Hawaii's natural beauty.
