PōMahina Designs is as an essence imbued with culture, tradition & aloha while being infused in contemporary fashion. Founder & Designer, Kanoelani Davis originally started PōMahina Designs to help her children and students retain the names of particular elements that were associated with Hina, mother of Molokai. Davis understood the importance of history, genealogy, stories of old and with time upon her, she recognized that the preservation of such rich vastness needed to live naturally in our daily lives. It held the essence of kupuna who have long traversed the Hawaiian Islands and of Molokai. This is how she continued the dreams into reality seamlessly, by sharing the artistic forms on wearable art, the names of each piece, and the essence to which can heal and create well-being for kanaka maoli.
