Trying to document how fast a baby grows during that first year sounds easy, but the days quickly become months, and the next thing you know, they are a year old! I created this Kalo Paani Mat to help with this by providing a mat baby can lay (or sit) on for these photos.
It's the perfect size to roll up and use as a changing pad or take to the park or beach for a little mat to sit on, too!
This mat is slightly smaller than the original version to more accurately depict the size of the average 12-month-old baby—76cm for boys and 74 cm for girls.
We chose this size because we often use growth charts to compare a baby's size to the average baby's (think growth charts). Babies grow so quickly in that first year that it's a fun way to remember how big your baby was compared to the average baby. While what is more important is that the baby grows steadily over that first year, it's always fun to have something to document for later.
