These Caution Tape Zipper Pouches from Upcycle Hawaii are available at Pop-Up Mākeke and are handmade using reclaimed sheet plastics and used caution tape that was collected from local businesses and diverted from Local Landfills.
Heat and pressure are applied to melt multiple layers of plastics together in a fusing process, creating a thick and resilient base material suitable for long-term reuse.
These pouches are ideal for anything! You can put loose change in them, toiletries, tools, pet treats - basically anything you can think of! The plastic is also easy to clean - you just need to rinse and dry it. The bags are water resistant but not waterproof.
Each bag is a unique piece of usable art giving new life to an overlooked material. Graphics and colors will vary slightly per pouch, and pictures are not an exact representation of what you will receive. But what is guaranteed is that you will get a one-of-a-kind plastic pouch!
