Bess Press was founded by husband and wife team, Buddy Bess and Dr. Ann Rayson. It is an independent publisher in Honolulu.
For over 45 years, Bess Press has been publishing for Hawai'i and the Pacific. They have grown to become a leading educational content producer of Hawaiian and Pacific Island studies curriculum for use from preschool to high school.
Bess Press has published over 700 titles including children's literature, language, history, coloring and activity, biography and memoir, as well as informational and nature guides, along with custom publishing projects.
