HPPA-1001
Minoʻaka in Hawaiian means smile, to smile, laughing dimple.
This charismatic little (5mm) spider, Theridion grallator, is found on the undersides of leaves in the forests of Hawaiʻi. They do not build webs. The female guards her bright green patch of eggs until the spiderlings hatch. The Hawaiian name is nananana makakiʻi: face-patterned spider.
For every Minoʻaka Happy Face Spider sold, HPPA proudly supports seven national parks in Hawaiʻi and American Samoa that help protect native habitats and preserve thriving ecosystems.
