In 2000, a good friend of Ohana Expression's founder Lani Chun showed her what she had made with polymer clay. Lani was fascinated with this unique medium; over the next ten years, she found her passion with Hawaii's native flowers and plants. In 2001, Lani founded Ohana Expressions, and the rest is history.

Each item that makes up Ohana Expressions' product line is handcrafted with polymer clay. All of Lani's designs are careful manipulations of clay, and there is no paint on any of them.

Unfortunately, a lot of the native plants in Hawaii are on the endangered list, and Lani enjoys creating those flowers with polymer clay because she is able to share Hawaii's endemic and indigenous native plants.
