Ports + Paws founder Erin was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Punahou School in 2010 and got her bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2014. However, her real passion throughout her entire life has been dogs because she loves how they radiate positivity and have a healing effect on people.

Erin and her husband brought their dog Porter home in March 2020, and he is the total inspiration for Ports + Paws. Erin's goal was to create high-quality products for customers and their pups that represent a modern, authentic Hawaii.

On top of sharing the aloha spirit around the islands and the world, the Ports + Paw team also wanted to help the local animal shelters with donations they could use for pups and other animals in need. Not only does every purchase mean a lot to Erin, but it also helps the local shelters, animals, and community as well.
