Aaron P Lau began his fascination with wood when he was very young. He was influenced by his grandfather and would play with hammers, nails, and sandpaper while being looked after by his grandparents in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Aaron took up woodworking in 2002 while working as an independent financial advisor and executive loan officer in Honolulu. His background in marketing and finance has helped him with such a creative business.

Now, he and his wife work together as Lau Lau Woodworks to bring their customers fine writing instruments made from Hawaiian koa wood and inlaying different types of materials from all over the world.

Aaron believes that each individual will be able to find a pen that matches their specific personality. As each pen is different, it is his hope that each of his creations will bring as much enjoyment into the owner's life as he had creating them.

Lau Lau Woodworks is the only pen maker with an extremely durable finish, with it being resistant to chemicals and ultraviolet rays. Every pen from the Lau Lau Woodworks brand is handcrafted and entirely unique.
