- Polyester does not shrink; however, the combed ring-spun cotton does shrink when exposed to heat (expect about a 5% shrink rate). This means it should never be washed in hot water or dried in a hot dryer. Tumble dry low or hang to dry and Medium iron; DO NOT iron on the design. Mostly, to preserve the quality of the shirt, it is a must not use chlorine bleach.
